Kabiyesi Oba (Dr) M.A Yusuf, (Erinkitola 1), the Sopenlukale of Oke-Sopen, Ijebu-Igbo, was born in 1960 into the family of late Prince Abeeb Tiriba Yusuf Erinki of the Ikupakude Royal dynasty through his paternal lineage, Osifunren/Osilamade of Itowo, Oke-Sopen, Ijebu-Igbo, and the famous Onipo family of Agbole Olowu (a descendant of the Awoyelu Ruling Class in Oke-tako). His mother was Hajia Falilat Yusuf (nee Koleti Sanni) of Oriwu Quarter, Atikori, Ijebu-Igbo.
Kabiyesi Oba (Dr.) M. A. Yusuf attended St. James Anglican Primary School, Atikori, Ijebu-Igbo, and St. Peter’s Anglican Primary School, Wopin, Ijebu Waterside, from 1968 to 1974. He proceeded to Local Authority Modern School, Oke-Agbo, Ijebu-Igbo, and obtained the Modern School Certificate in 1978. He also attended Ago-Iwoye Secondary School, where he obtained the West African School Certificate in 1981. He then proceeded to Ramat Polytechnic Maiduguri, where he obtained the National Diploma in Business Administration. He enrolled at the Institute of Secretarial Studies and obtained the RSA Stage 2 Certificate in Typing and Shorthand.

Oke-Sopen, in ljebu-Igbo, is a town located ni Ijebu-North Area of Ogun State, Nigeria. It is approximately a 15 minute drive from ljebu-Ode. It is the Headquarters of ljebu-North Local Government Authority. Its geographical coordinates are Latitude 6°, 58’0″ North, and Longitude 4°0’0″ East. Oke-Sopen is number one out of the five towns that constitute the present day Ljebu-Igbo, with population of about 175 thousand as at 2006 head counts
Oke-Sopen is the Political Headquarters as well as the commercial nerve centre of Ijebu- North Local Government, with many of its indigenes playing active role in the State and National Politics.
Oke-Sopen was founded by Princess Sopenlukale and Ogunlegi around 15 century (1430) about 750 years ago.
